ACADEMIC SPACE-TIME

Welcome to Mario A. Barón-Rodríguez e-Portfolio.  In this portfolio, you will find activities (Lectures, Reading exercises, and video recordings) on multiple topics conducted in Chemistry.

 

The PURPOSES to apply CLIL (Content Language and Integrated Learning) for my courses are:

 

  1. Make aware the students of the importance of how Molecular Physical Chemistry can explain the properties of matter, by using appropriate literature (Scientific publications, i.e. papers, books, etc).

  2. Make aware the students of the importance of Molecular Physical Chemistry in its born language (without the translation).

  3. Make improve the students and teachers skills in English communication, i.e. reading, writing, and speaking, especially in scientific terms.

 

Each activity has three stages:

 

  1. Pre-activity

    • Ask yourself:  What is your expectation for each activity on the Physical Chemical e-Portfolio?

    • Answer some related questions about the new topic.

  2. Activity

    • Carries out the proposed activities. The activity could be a video lesson, reading exercise, or simulation activity.

  3. Post-activity

    • Answer the question about the activity.

    • Participate in class discussion.

 

At the end of the day, you could realize if you learn something.
