
ABOUT ME
Bachelor in Chemistry and Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS).
I'm expert in Computational Biophysics. I have experience in biopolymer, i.e. molecular mechanics and quantum mechanics. Molecular Mechanics which include molecular dynamics simulations and docking systems (specially protein-protein and protein-ligand) among others. Quantum mechanics simulations include energy minimization procedures and multipolar moments determination. Artificial Intelligence in the Computer Aim Drug Design (CADD) techniques.
I have a great understanding of protein fibril formation, supramolecular interactions, drug design, among others.

I'm interesting in reveal the molecular insight of chemical behavior of proteins; as receptors, catalysts and aggregates, as well as other polymers and interesting materials.




Freelancer, Research Professor at the Universidad de Santander, and consultant to the Colombian Petroleum Institute (ICP).
I work as a Project Management at the Corporación Tricoderma y Arcada.

As a researcher, I direct several lines focused on biotechnology (white and yellow), the design and development of new compounds and materials, and the in situ determination of pollutants in water and pesticides in plants.
​
As a freelancer, I develop simulation protocols, analyse conformational landscapes and predict physicochemical properties such as solubility, stability and binding affinity of different compounds. I have used metadynamics to elucidate the folding mechanism of peptides and identify stable conformations critical for their activity. I have used Artificial Intelligence (AI) to design de-novo compounds with biological activity.
